What we do...

Floating Bridge works with clients to create singular spaces for the young and young-at-heart. We specialize in custom mural design, as well as fine art, editioned works, posters, cards and picture-books... we are a versatile, full-service movable ateliƩr making the world more wondrous one room at a time.

Commissioning A Mural...

Once you have decided to commission a piece by Floating Bridge, we will meet for an initial consultation free of charge (unless significant travel is necessary). In this meeting we will address such issues as mural themes, size, complexity of composition, and custom installations (such as sculptural or interactive elements like white-boards or chalkboards).

Once the design process begins, we ask for a 50% deposit, which is used in part to purchase project materials. All basic painting materials are included in the commission fee. Additional expenses such as travel required outside the Seattle/Eastside metropolitan area, scaffolding costs, and orders for special or exceptionally expensive materials will be met by the client.

Some Ideas for Your Mural...

Underwater room, Cars & Trucks, Noah's Ark, Farm, Dinosaurs, Outer Space, Beach, Pirates, Cowboys, Horse and Stable, Hawaiian Volcano, Bugs, Flower Power 60's Retro, Musical Instruments, Super Heroes, Mermaids, Construction, Airplanes, Race Cars, Motorcycles, Mythology, Sports, Teddy Bears, Jungle, Knight & Castle, Faeries, Snow Skiing, Surfing, Hot Air Balloons, City Skyline, Princess & Castle, ABC's, Clouds, Trains, Cat's & Dogs, Firetruck & Dalmations, Eiffel Tower, Tropical, Rain Forest, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, Water Skiing, Sailing, Science Lab, Sailboats, Nautical...

Although we will occasionally make exceptions, Floating Bridge typically resists using copyrighted or Trademark materials ( such as Mickey and Donald, Batman, etc.)

This policy serves a number of purposes: It eliminates the potential for lawsuits, which is important. Equally important is our ultimate goal: To make your child's space distinct and unique --- an environment that will contribute to her, his or their sense of discovery creativity, and learning.

Mural Pricing...

Because we work to create distinctive artworks for each client, our pricing structure reflects variables from job to job. For example, a very large piece composed entirely of single-color silhouettes will be much simpler to make than a smaller but more elaborate painting such as a Van Gogh or Renaissance replica. To address this variability, we have broken our pricing structure down into three categories: $20/, $30/, and $40/ square foot. Click below to go to the index.
